Weapon Of Choice - Fatboy Slim

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMZwZiU0kKs

This video is a dance video because the video is focused on one person dancing throughout. I think this video shows that the person is letting loose and relieving himself from all his emotions that have been kept inside! This is shown by the actions made and the face expressions that he portrays.
There is only one man throughout this whole video and has very matt makeup on so his face doesn’t come across shiny in the video. It’s done to make him look natural. Christopher Walken is dressed in a grey suit, a cream shirt and a red tie with smart shoes. This makes him look like a professional man.
The location looks like it could be at a hotel because of the sofas and centre pieces that are laid out on the tables. It is empty making Christopher the attention throughout the whole video. There were many props that were used such as the plants, tables, chairs, elevators etc, giving it a specific feel to the video. There is a general light that is maintained continuously through the video as well as other back ground lights coming from the lamps he passes. The actors’ facial expressions are very intense and give certain energy through his movements. The movements are very joyous and shows how free he is with all the space and with no one there to disrupt him. There are many wide shots to capture the setting and the actors’ movements. There are sections were the camera is panning, making mid shots, medium close ups and cut ins. This gives the video a variety of angles and to make it look interesting.

The song is perhaps best known for its accompanying music video, which was filmed in the Los Angeles Marriott in December 2000. Directed by Spike Jonze and featuring actor Christopher Walken, who was trained as a dancer in musical theatre prior to his acting career, it features Walken dancing and flying around in the empty hotel to the music. The chorus of the song, "You could go with this, you could go with that...", is a homage to the Black Sheep song "The Choice is Yours", which features a similar chorus.
